Weekly Inspo Vids - Week Thirty Nine
Hi friends,
Happy Saturday. As life continues to speed up towards the end of the year, I hope you find the time to slow down a bit this weekend. I’m writing this ahead of time and, if everything goes according to plan, I should be off-the-grid for a quick backpacking trip when you read this. Do something to unwind this weekend. You won’t regret it!
I really like this week’s video. It may not be the flashiest clip I’ve shared, but it’s simple and to the point. I’m often struck by how much kids hang on our opinions of them. If we show confidence in their abilities, they will slowly start to believe the same. This week’s video is a powerful example of this simple idea.
Last week, we also covered self-affirmation essays in our Emailable PD section (it was free for all, so check it out if you missed it). This week, we cover the second part of the concept and dig into the reasoning behind its effectiveness.
And as we get closer to the end of the year, I’ll be working on my end-of-year survey. I love getting feedback from this group. Based on your input, I always make changes to the newsletter for the following academic year. But don’t worry, the inspirational videos will still be free and will always be part of what we do!
Enjoy!
P.S. Don’t forget! Tomorrow is our last Monthly PD of the year! It should hit your inbox in the morning!

We’re covering part II of last week’s concept - self-affirmation essays. We previously introduced the topic and, now, we’ll drill down into precisely why it works. This can truly be a useful strategy when done right.
