Hey friends,

Somehow, January has managed to feel even busier than December—who knew that was possible? If you’re anything like me, you’re hoping February brings a bit more calm (or at least fewer surprise meetings on your calendar).

This week, we’ve got some great content for your teachers. We’re featuring a solid video following the student interactions of three different teachers—lots of great takeaways there. Plus, we’re wrapping up our eight-week Emailable PD series with a final installment focused on celebrating student ownership of learning.

Keep an eye out for an upcoming survey regarding Emailable PD. I’m always trying to make it as applicable as possible and you all are the ones I do this for. I want to be sure you’re getting what you need!

Talk soon!

Weekly Emailable PD

Use in staff newsletters, emailable PD messages, etc.

Student ownership of learning isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a powerful driver of motivation, confidence, and deeper engagement in the classroom. This week’s PD resource explores simple, effective ways to celebrate student ownership, from showcasing student work to encouraging peer recognition and leadership opportunities. By reinforcing that learning is student-driven, not just teacher-directed, we can help students build lifelong skills like perseverance, responsibility, and self-motivation. I hope your teachers find it useful!
