Weekly Inspo Vids - Week Twenty Four
Hello friends,
Happy Saturday. I hope everyone is digging themselves out of their hibernation holes. What a week?! Schools were cancelled here in Oregon due to snow. I managed to make my trip to Texas (a day late due to cancellations) to find 12 degree weather waiting for me in Dallas. Oof. Never thought I’d see it that low in the Lone Star State.
Back home and things are starting to melt and get back to normal. Hope the same is true for you.
We’ve got some great resources this week. An encouraging video of former students celebrating important teachers in their lives. And we continue to talk about school connectedness in this week’s Emailable PD. It’s a crucially important topic. I hope you and your staff find it useful!
Enjoy!
P.S. Shout out to Jahari, a new paid subscriber who was kind enough to share this message:
"I support your work because I think it will enhance the PD I provide my staff especially the videos. I spend more on coffee per month than I do this so it's worth it!"
🙏 🙏 Much appreciated, Jahari! Thanks for your support!

I love this week’s graphic because it displays so clearly what happens when there’s a lack of school connectedness. Conversely, it paints an inspiring picture of the possibilities when students feel welcomed and safe at school. This is such an important topic and teachers must understand the connection between their relationships with students and how those students develop (or fail to develop) the tools to cope with the real world.
