Hello friends,

I hope you and yours are recovering well from those sugar-induced comas. We’ve hit November, which means the next couple of months are full of celebrations and all the work that needs to get done beforehand. Be sure to steal a little bit of downtime in there to maintain your sanity.

We’ve got another solid week on deck. An encouraging video about kindness and some PD regarding the importance of deadlines. A real cliffhanger, I know, but I think it’s pretty important. This time of year - especially around the time change - things tend to be busier, but energy levels slow waaaaaay down for everyone. It’s really important to keep things moving in the classroom so students don’t lose connection to the curriculum.

And, at the very end of today’s email, there’s a little treat. A look back at all of the crazy and nostalgic costumes over the last several decades.

Enjoy!

Weekly Emailable PD

Use in staff newsletters, emailable PD messages, etc.

We’re getting to that time of year when things are starting to slow down a bit. The colder, darker days seem to blend together and staff and students alike feel more lethargic and less motivated. Teachers can maintain momentum by sticking to deadlines in their planning and projects. It may sound like a minor issue, but trust me, it’s one of those little consistencies that helps to keep everyone moving forward.
