Weekly Inspo Vids - Week Sixteen
Hey friends,
The downside of a rough budget year is, of course, the things that are tough on everyone—like furlough days. The upside? Some of those furlough days conveniently fall right next to holidays. For the first time in a while, I’ll be enjoying a full week off for Thanksgiving, and for that, I’m truly thankful.
This week’s topic is gratitude. The research on gratitude is overwhelming. This simple habit can improve your mood, lower blood pressure, help you sleep better, reduce anxiety, and about fifteen other amazing things (you can read more about that in this week’s Emailable PD).
On that note, I want to express my gratitude for all of you—especially this year. Returning to a school building has been amazing, but doing so part-time has meant a lot of financial juggling. The paid subscribers to this newsletter are directly helping feed my family, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.
I hope you get some time away this week with your loved ones. Sleep in a little too late, watch a great movie, eat that extra piece of pie, and tell someone you love them.
Enjoy!

I’ve made it a habit to keep gratitude in my arsenal of tools in the classroom—not just for myself, but as a skill to teach my students. There are so many ways to incorporate it, and we cover four different ideas in this week’s Emailable PD. There’s also a wealth of top-notch research to back up the benefits. I hope your teachers find it useful!
