Weekly Inspo Vids - Week Seventeen
Hey you,
I hope you had a good turkey week and a solid re-entry to the building. We are wrapping up a trimester this week, which means the grading pile is high. Regardless, it’s always good to see colleagues and kids after some time away. It’s been a busy week, but not a bad one.
I’ve got a cool video for you this week (at least I think it’s cool). It’s not just students who suffer from diminishing attention spans - we’re all seeing that muscle atrophy. Daniel Pink offers a very practical way to improve your focus. I included it becuase I think it’s likely relevant to so many groups … students, teachers, admin, etc. I figure these different groups will find different ways to use and share it.
And this week’s Emailable PD focuses on keeping kids afloat. It seems students are slipping so easily these days as late assignments and missing work pile up. It can feel like an unbearable load for them, so let’s get into it!
I hope it’s helpful. Have a great week!

This week is an invitation to think proactively. As the term unfolds, it’s easy for students to fall behind—one or two missed assignments can quietly turn into a mountain. But with the right systems and support, we can help students build momentum instead of lose it. This week’s resource offers practical strategies for preventing the pile-up and guiding students back when they’ve started to slip. Because when we focus on progress—not perfection—we give every student a better chance to finish strong.
