Weekly Inspo Vids - Week Forty One
Hey hey,
Almost made it to Memorial Day, folks! I know some of you are wrapping up the year already. Growing up in Texas, I was accustomed to getting out now-ish and going back in mid-August. These days, we roll hard in Oregon until mid-June but don’t see students again until after Labor Day. Hard to know which is better, though this time of year, I always seem nostalgic for that Lone Star calendar!
We’ll keep the lights on here for another couple of weeks. Keep an eye out for our annual survey in June on improvements for '24-25. Hard to believe we’re going on year four of this newsletter. Thanks again for everyone’s support!
This week’s video has a fairly cheesy intro but features some great clips of real teachers working with real students. Always a nice reminder of how important our work is as we’re trying to finish strong. And this week’s Emailable PD is particularly appropriate for this time of year. I hope your teachers find it useful.
Enjoy!

As we enter the home stretch, everyone feels more exhausted - administrators, teachers, and of course, students. If your teachers are prone to arguing with students as the year concludes, consider these helpful phrases to de-escalate common types of conflict.
