Weekly Inspo Vids - Week Fifteen
Hey hey!
We’ve made it to the week of Thanksgiving, folks! Well done, one and all. My truest hope is that, like me, many of you have a full week off. If not, enjoy the extra downtime and tryptophan-induced rest nonetheless.
I’ll get straight to it. We’re hitting the concept of gratitude hard this week, both in the weekly video and the Emailable PD. I hope you and your staff find it both useful and inspiring.
I rather enjoyed the video, which offered some very practical ideas to up your thankfulness. And the PD includes some concepts I already do with my students to great impact. We do a Friday Circle each week, and it remains the highest-rated element of my class in end-of-term surveys. Students relish the opportunity to connect, and it just so happens to be a perfect time to incorporate a little gratitude.
I just want to close this week by expressing how grateful I am for each of you. If you’re a free sub, thanks for reading along. If you’re a paid subscriber, you give a very tangible gift to me and help to support my family. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. Thank you.
Much love,
Mike

This week, we’re leaning into something simple but powerful: gratitude. In the rush of November, it’s easy to move fast and miss the good. But when we pause to name what’s working—what we appreciate in our students, our colleagues, and ourselves—we start to shift the climate around us. Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good exercise; it’s a practice that builds connection, boosts morale, and helps learning stick. This week’s resource offers quick, meaningful ways to bring gratitude into your classroom and your team. Because a little intention can go a long way—and the benefits tend to multiply when shared.
