Hey there,
It’s been a solid week. Nothing like parent conferences to mark the middle of the term. Can’t believe we’ve hit October!
Are the leaves falling all around your neighborhood as well?

In my search for my weekly video, I stumbled upon this gem. I decided to not use it as the official vid because it has some strong language. But, hey, your teachers are adults. Should you decide to use it, I won’t tell anyone. Flippin’ hilarious.
This week’s actual video is below and covers the importance of serving others in our vocation as one way of finding happiness. If it’s one thing educators do, it’s creating value with their lives. I hope it’s encouraging.
I hope you have a great week, everyone!
Talk soon!

This week’s resource focuses on giving students meaningful influence while maintaining clear structure. When students have a voice and purposeful choices, they can take greater ownership of their learning.
The challenge is sharing responsibility while keeping goals and boundaries clear. Teachers provide the framework; students help shape the path.
These slides offer practical ways to build student agency. By asking real questions, offering manageable choices, and handing over meaningful roles, teachers can strengthen engagement, develop responsibility, and keep learning moving forward.
